When can I use TTC tokens until?
November 30th
After multiple false attempts due to public concerns, the TTC retired tokens from general circulation on November 30th. TTC booths no longer sell tokens. Instead the TTC is encouraging the public to “move to a PRESTO card now to avoid potential line ups”.
Can I use TTC tokens?

Where can you use Presto card?
You can load your PRESTO card using the PRESTO App, at Shoppers Drug Mart, at Customer Service Outlets, online, or through our Chat feature. Load your card instantly at PRESTO self-serve machines in every GO Transit station and every TTC station, Shoppers Drug Mart locations and other Customer Service Outlets.
Can you still use tokens?
The TTC will stop selling TTC tickets, tokens and passes at subway stations on November 30, 2019. Customers will still be able to use any remaining TTC tickets, tokens or passes they have to pay their fare. No end date has been identified for when the TTC will stop accepting these.
Can I use TTC tokens in 2020?
Green said that customers will also be able to, once again, pay using cash, TTC tickets or tokens and will now be able to obtain a transfer as their proof-of-payment.
Can you still use bus tokens?
If you are currently in possession of tokens, you will still be able to use them to pay fare until November 29, 2019. However, you will no longer be able to purchase new ones.

Can you pay with cash on TTC buses amid covid-19 outbreak?

TTC spokesperson Stuart Green said bus riders will be asked to pay by Presto fare cards or by Presto tickets, which can be purchased at machines inside subway stations.
Will phaseout of TTC tokens make it harder for the homeless?
Anti-poverty advocates in Toronto say they are concerned that a phaseout of TTC tokens will make it more difficult for the homeless, low income people and seniors to access public transit. TTC tokens are to be discontinued at the end of 2019.
How much is a Presto paper ticket for the TTC?
In their place, the TTC will offer a single ride Presto paper ticket that will have an expiry date. The Presto tickets, to be introduced in 2019, will be sold through fare vending machines at subway stations and at Shoppers Drug Mart stores for $3.25, the same price as a cash fare.
